Biscari - Catania

Staff was very accomodating. Room was clean and the place had charm.

Wish they would tell you about being a 4th floor walkup when you book. It must not work for some people who are not able to navigate that, let alone carry luggage. It was exhausting! Tv didn't even have a remote!

Great location. Don't waste your time to find a free parking space, just go upstairs and ask for the car park which is the tiny courtyard as you arrive. You leave your keys so that they can move the car if needed. Otherwise, the breakfast on the terrace overlooking the city is amazing... We would definitely come back here.

Nothing in particular. We spent as little time as possible in the hotel.

To access the hotel you had to climb 62 stairs, there was no lift. This was not mentioned on your website, also the parking mentioned it a small courtyard with room for 4 cars only and other home owners in the block use it as well as the hotel. There is then a further 8 steps to reach the breakfast room and these steps have no rail for holding onto.

The fact that the location is great and the staff is friendly is very convenient and welcoming for a tourist who barely speak Italian and completely new to Catania

The breakfast is horrible on the first day; also the room 1 is located next to the front desk (lobby); hence, the bell to open the gate on the first floor keep ringing throughout the night.. it would be much appreciated if the front desk person can just stay and do the work instead of wandering around until the bell has been rang for 10x before he or she can open the door.. the AC has a weird sound throughout the night. not a pleasant rest at all

An ancient bulding in the city center, 3 minutes walking from the main square of Catania. Pleasant staff and free parking. If you want to stay for a 1-2 days , enjoy the city and save money - Hotel "Biscari" is one that you need.

Noise from the street.

Wonderfull good preserved palace of XVIII century. Just in the historical center and in 300 m from the Borsellino bus station (buses from and to airport, to almost all large cities of Sicilia), 150 m to splendid Teatro Massimo. Terrace with the view to the sea and to green courtyards. We received clean large room (No.4) of 50 sq.m with stucco moulding ceiling of 5 m high and two balconies - to small lane 'via Anzalone' and to 'via Vittorio Emmanuele II'. This street is very busy but closed shutters on balcony's door and door-curtains are good soundproofing. It was guite suitably for us. There is restaurant-pizzeria on the ground floor of this building and small mini-market opposite.

Only one disadvantage - lack of elevator. It is important for seniors and families with baby carriage

Good value for money in Catania city center - big and clean rooms, nice breakfast, friendly staff

Two problematic points: the hotel is on a main road, so some of the rooms can be a bit noisy (Catania bus traffic is quite heavy, but the hotel is on the 3rd floor so it's not very bad). the second point is that the hotel is located on the 3rd floor of the building and there's no elevator.

The hotel staff was just great, everyone really nice and helfpful, explained where to go and what to see in Catania, felt like I would be welcomed by my friends. Really liked the terrace where breakfast is served. Breakfast ok, choice from croissant or bread with cheese /marmelade, coffee. Nice room weith very high ceiling and balcony.

My room was just next to the reception and as everyone has to ring to be let in all the time, heard pretty much the buzzer like it would be in my room. Quite noisy at night as well but resolved with ear plugs so it was ok. The only thing which I didn't like was the bathroom, no space in shower, water hard to regulate and some problems with the waste pipes I guess as all the time when I was showering, the water from the toilet pipe started to overflow and the smell was just terrible.

A very beautiful ancient bulding in the city center, 2 minutes walking from the main square of Catania. Very nice staff and free parking.We'll definitely recommend it if you want to stay for a weekend , enjoy the city and save money!

No towels for guests

Great position to visit everything in Catania.

No lift so you have to know that you have a lot of stairs before you can reach the reception.

It was a good rate for a room with 5 people in central Catania, a short walk to the main tourist areas. It was good to have parking at the hotel which was free. The staff were helpful on the phone when we were lost in the car, and spoke reasonable English.

The hotel is up four flights of stairs, and we had a lot of heavy luggage. Failities are fairly basic as you would expect in this price bracket.

The breakfast terrace. The staff were friendly and the family room was very airy and large.

The beds were uncomfortable. No lift. Cost of room is rather high for a two star hotel.

Location was excellent, breakfast terrace superb. Staff very friendly and helpful.
